Randy(308) Sent this report of  his trip with guide Terry Coufal last month. Last weekend he took the grandkids out in his boat with no luck at all. Grandson Conner was heard to say this was his worst fishing trip ever. These guided trips will spoil anyone.

Today was day two with Randy Schulte and his family. Today he brought his daughter Kimberly, her husband and their 6 year old son Brock. With the awesome bite we had in the surf yesterday I was hoping to get back out there today. The winds picked up considerably and I knew it would be iffy but we had to go take a peek. Unfortunately we made the run out there but it was just too dangerous to make an anchor. I then made the long run to the upper laguna. We finally got there and started boxing some fish when the weather turned bad and we ran for shelter just in time. The bottom fell out and we had a good hour or so rain delay. We finally got back out and were boxing fish. It was not fast but fairly steady. We finally called it a day and headed back. We ended the day with 19 solid trout. Far cry from yesterday, but still not bad considering the conditions and the lost time for the long run and rain delays. And yes we missed some as well. Another great day with great clients. Everyone did a good job today and young Brock was reeling them in right and left.

Today I had another good repeat client Randy Schulte. Today he brought his son in law Jason and his grandkids 12 year old Colsen and 7 year old Conner. The winds were up today but I headed back to the surf. I knew it would not be as calm as yesterday but was hoping we could still fish it. It was definitely fishable but pretty bumpy. Fortunately it did not take long and we were smoking them. I literally could not get them baited up fast enough. It was fast and furious to say the least. We had fish on literally the second the bait hit the water. It slowed a little and the next thing you know Jason wasn't feeling good. But to his credit he stuck it out about 15 more minutes so we could finish up. We finished up with our 40 trout at 7:15, now thats getting it done folks. Colsen and Conner did a great job today. These two really hung in there and did great under some pretty bumpy conditions. Conner definitely caught the largest fish of the day and I think they were both pretty close on catching the most. No doubt Randy was a proud grandpa today. Another great day with great clients.

I've had a nice break and heard from many friends who want to see more posts. Unfortunately, my blog will never again be what it was in the past as I'm just wearing out, age related I think.(That's my doctor's favorite diagnosis for everything I go in for lately.) Anyway I'll post a few things from time to time as I have the motivation and energy. Ed(302) wanted to see proof of how great the fishing has been. Here it is. Last weekend I was in San Antonio and my son in law wanted to use my boat. He has no knowledge of Aransas Bay so I told him to just look at the depth finder and when he say water less than six feet, try that spot. He caught these seven keepers in no time. He caught them all on clear DOA. The only problem was he can't tell me where he was because he doesn't know himself.
