On Tuesday we had a load of stabilized sand delivered. It has two bags of cement mixed with each yard of sand. It cures almost as hard as concrete. The plan was to fill all the recent washouts more permanently.

Roger and Pedro shoveled for several hours filling the washouts.

Suddenly, the wind and waves picked up and within half an hour all their new sand was under water. Some of it hardened and some just washed away. This mixed sand costs about four times plain sand.
