The hurricane didn't do much to us. The beach roads at Port Aransas were closed today in anticipation of high tides. There was coastal flood watch here on Saturday. I saw no effect except the north wind.
The Gulf shrimp fleet was in port at Aransas Pass. It looked strange to see all the really big shrimp boats in at one time.
The Rockport Pilot reports that a waterpark is planned for a location on Hwy. 35 bypass.
Off The Hook has moved to a location in downtown Rockport where Java Bay was. They said the building at Cove Harbor was in bad shape and the owner didn't want to fix it.
Don( winters in 210) and Dee came by yesterday. It was good to see them. They are leaving on Sept. 16 for New Zealand and then on to Australia.
Jayme's grandmother has been very ill. Jayme's mother has arrived here from Kuwait.
Jim(210) and Debra came by this afternoon. They looked at the condo in the 300 building that is "For Sale" by owner. I believe there is already a buyer who has reached an agreement to purchase with the owner.
The Montgomery's(406) spent the weekend here too. I had not seen them in a long time. They are planning to remodel their place soon.
Kevin(501) and Cyrena were here too. Kevin fished hard and picked up one keeper trout.
Randy(308) and his family were here. He fished Estes Flats and did not do very well.
