Fishing was not too bad this weekend. Nearly everyone had some fish. This top photo shows two reds and a sheephead. They were caught on live shrimp near the shore at the point where the HEB property turns toward the causeway. The larger red was pushing the upper legal limit.
The second picture is of my older son, Richmond, with his two trout. The larger one was 18". I can't tell you the last time he caught even one. The trout that I cleaned were starting the spawning period. I put back one 14" trout that was, it appeared, ready to drop her eggs. The water temperature was 69 degrees.
