While in Rockport last week, I visited with the staff at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. I was told that a new website was activated last week that gives a lot of data about the local fishery. I logged on and found that the trout catch rate in the department gill nets last year showed a drop off of 50% in Aransas Bay. The catch rate was the lowest in ten years. The web address is
