Welcome to our newest owners, Jean and Karen Fankhauser of Boerne. They have purchased the Boyer's unit, 206. The unit is in pristine condition after the remodeling and they say they don't plan to rent it.
I heard from Justin that they have hired another maintenance worker. He has a background in electrical work and will begin repair on some of the electrical issues that we have. Justin said he is getting bids to repair the asphalt that was ravaged by the summer rains and traffic. The pool was a problem last week. The fellow who has the maintenance contract was in the hospital and in his absence the pool turned quite green. It should be back to normal this week.
Reports about the fishing continue to be quite dismal.
I don't know what's up with the umbrella insurance policy with HRH. It is due to renew in about 10 days and I don't know that any board meeting has been called to approve a new coverage. Historically, the board always met in August with the main topic being insurance renewal. Surely, the board will get it taken care of.
The new shoreguard bulkhead behind Moyra Jardon's house across the channel is nearly completed. The erosion was swift and devastating as it ate away under her steps and existing bulkhead.(see picture)
